OnePlus 9 Pro

The OnePlus 9 Pro steals the show this year too. We have many things to consider, do you want to know? Stay tuned!

Three years ago, with the OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus made a significant place in the high-end segment. The device gave neck-to-neck competition to Samsung S Series and Google phones, the camera was a letdown, but the hardware stood out from the crowd.

The OnePlus 8 Pro hit the market during the OnePlus reorganization. It has a QHD AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 30W fast charger. It was the first phone to have IP68rating, but the cameras of rivals were much better.

This time let us see what 9 Pro offers us in the box. Well, if you have one, do not forget to check out trendy OnePlus 9 Pro cases.

OnePlus 9 Pro Price and Availability:

The 9 Pro is available from 2nd April in the UK, North America, Europe, and the Indian market. It comes in two variants- 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage capacity. In India, you get both variants.

Pricing in July 2022: OnePlus 9 Pro 8GB/128GB variant is priced at 49,999INR and the 12GB/256GB variant is available at 54,999INR.

The OnePlus 9 Pro is available on Flipkart and Amazon at a big discounted price. It is available in three shades- Morning Mist, Pine Green, and Stellar Black.

Design and Display:

The OnePlus 9 Pro is similar to many high-end phones available in the market and it is all for good reasons. It is better if we compare this device to its previous models. So, this time company has thought a bit differently about launching a subtle lineup in terms of color and highlights.

The phone equips Gorilla Glass 5 with an aluminum frame with smooth curves. The phone buttons sit where they were meant to be. At the right, you get a slider and left sits the volume rocker. The Morning Mist model has a brilliant mirror finish at the back panel like the other variants. Then there is a camera hole that sits at the left corner of the phone. This time it has smaller sensors that are not quickly grabbed by the eye.

The phone is very slippery, so you need a case for sure. That is why it is important to grab a OnePlus 9 Pro Cases. The SIM slot is placed at the bottom beside USB-C charging port.

The OnePlus 9 Pro features a 6.7inch AMOLED QHD+ display. The company calls it a Fluid Display 2.0 that has an LTPO addition here. It allows the user with a dynamic refreshing rate according to the content. The same LTPO features were released by Samsung Note 20 Ultra later. OnePlus 9 Pro has the power to go from 1Hz to 120Hz via a custom user.

The display of the phone is one of the best features of the phone. The brightness, contrast, and color vibrancy are top-notch. It is why it holds against the newly launched 10 Pro.

One interesting feature here is Hyper Touch which shoots the touchscreen polling to 360Hz. It limits the selection of games to Call of Duty, League of Legends, PUBG Mobile, and Brawl Stars till now.

Hardware, Software, and Performance:

The 9 Pro is powered by Qualcomm 5nm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The chipset is a more exciting delivery than Snapdragon 865. The Adreno 660GPU works commendably when you play high-end games on the phone. You will love scrolling through the phone. It provides you instant gliding experience through social media, browsing, and play. There are no such lags or loops while using the phone. It does not slow down even in heavy usage. Nevertheless, during setup, the phone might heat and you will not be able to use the camera. It also heats up during heavy gaming. It has an IP68 rating so it is dust and water-resistant.

It enables Wi-Fi, Bluetooth connectivity, NFC, and LDAC audio codes. The main problem with the hardware is the fingerprint sensor as it sits too low on the screen that is difficult to access.

It does not get hot while charging. It charges zero to full in just 29 minutes. A fruitful addition is the 50W wireless charging feature. The wireless charger takes 45 minutes to juice up the battery to full. It has a bedtime mode option, if you leave your phone beside your bed during the night time it will automatically turn the fan down.

Cameras:

We loved the bold new design, battery, and hardware of the phone till now. But what about cameras? It comes with a 50MP primary camera, 8MP telephoto lens, and 2MP Monochrome camera. The selfie camera features a 16MP fixed focus aperture. This time OnePlus camera shines in low lights. It has great detailed captures with a 48MP camera. The device as promised delivers crisp images and demanding shoots.

Pros:

  • Stellar cameras
  • Eye-catchy design
  • Fast charger 65W and 50W wireless charger
  • Quick performance

Final Words:

Everything is pleasing about the OnePlus 9 Pro. It is a power-packed smartphone that shines bright for cameras, performance, battery life, and design. The only thing that could be better was its software and 5G connectivity. But this is not a big issue and can be surpassed.
